Josephine Carrera

Josephine "Cha" Rosa Carrera, 74, of East Moline passed away March 13, 2015 at Riverwood Rehab in East Moline. A memorial visitation will be 11:30 - 1:00pm Friday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with a memorial service at 1:00pm. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Josephine was born April 9, 1940 the daughter of Ambrosio and Amanda Gomez. She retired from Oscar Meyer in Davenport and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her children Leslie Mondragon, Christina Favela, Joe Gomez, Ralph Gomez, Becky Martinez and special daughter Desiree Salas; grandchildren Jesse "Chewy" Gomez, Nick Rodriguez, Michelle Escamilla, Rick Escamilla, Mike Gomez, Marisela Favela, Celina Favela, Estrella Favela, Ashley Gomez, Sara Gomez, Brad Gomez, Brandon Gomez, David Gomez, Jesse Gomez Olivares, Haron Martinez and Brucey Ruiz; great grandchildren Antonio, Nick, Aiden, Stella, Chloe, D'Andre, Laylah, Elijah, Juelisa, Gabriella, Alyssa, Noah and Isela; sisters Matilda Lopez and Lillian Gomez. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
