Joyce A. Skinner

Joyce A. Skinner, 84, of Geneseo passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at her home.

A funeral mass will be 10am Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Devine Mercy Parish St. Patrick in Colona. Visitation will be 4-7pm Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona with a rosary at 3:30pm. Burial will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery in Colona. Memorials may be made to the family.

Joyce was born August 29, 1941 in Galesburg, IL the daughter of John and Marie Madigan. She married Maynard Skinner September 2, 1961 in Galesburg, IL. He passed away February 15, 2002. Joyce worked for Beneficial Finance, retiring after 30 years. She was a very caring and giving mother and caregiver.

Survivors include her children Paul (Patty) Skinner, Debbie (Ken) Hamerlinck, John Skinner, and Peg Reed; grandchildren Jessica Hamerlinck and Stephen Hamerlinck; siblings Jean Handley, John (Mary) Madigan, and Joan(Jeff) Hoschek.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Nancy Kiehn.
