Kathleen L. O'Neil

Kathleen L. O’Neil, 76, of Colona passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones at her home.

A mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Colona. Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona with a rosary at 3:30pm. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Gilda’s Club or American Cancer Society.

Kathleen was born March 17, 1950 in Fort Knox, KY the daughter of Allen and Margaret Slagel Walker. Her first job was at Deb’s Drive In in Milan. She also worked for Baylor University when she lived in Texas, Sodexo, and Desaulniers Printing Company. Kathleen also was a beautician, working in her home and loved cleaning houses. She enjoyed oil painting and loved hosting family gatherings in her home.

Survivors include her children Ronda (Wayne) James, Robert (Bobbi) O’Neil, Randy (Rachele) O’Neil, and Jeffrey O’Neil; grandchildren Elizabeth (Luc), Samantha (Kristen), Gage (Tori), Erin (Connor), Logan (Miah), Brendan (Annadoria), Emily (Victoria), and Ryker; great grandchildren Jaxsyn, Paityn, Wren, Kai, Sutton, and Cody; grandog Zoey and siblings Larry (Brenda), Charlotte, and Darlene.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, siblings John, Michael, Jerry, and Marlene, and her granddaughter Hope.
