Kathryn I. Hall

Kathryn Irene Hall, 81, of Silvis passed away September 7, 2026 at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, IA.

Kathy was born March 8, 1945 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Alvin and Evelyn Rose (Mandel) Haronik. She graduated from Villa De Chantel School in Rock Island in 1963. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

Kathy spent several years as a music teacher at St. Marys school in East Moline early in her career. She worked at and retired from the Rock Island Arsenal as a program analyst. She was a passionate horticulturalist who, after retirement, was one of the founding members of the Silvis Garden Club in 2005, holding the title of president of that organization until her death. The garden around her house was award-winning. She served on the Silvis Park board and was also elected as an alderman for the City of Silvis for 2 terms until her retirement from those duties in 2023.

Survivors include his sisters Veronica Haronik, Marty (Connie) Haronik, Beverly Rausch, Cindy Sullivan, John Haronik (Jeff Goldman), a special friend Dean Wagner, son Bradley (Annette), daughter Melinda, granddaughter Camryn Sweet (Justin), Kory Sweet, and great grandchildren Everly and Beckett.

Per her wishes, Kathy will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis from 10-12. Casual dress is encouraged. Family and friends are invited to come and share fond memories and stories.
