Larry D. Weatherington, 63, of East Moline has gone home March 12, 2015. Funeral services will be 11am Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be 1-4pm Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to Leukemia Research. Larry was born Sept. 10, 1951 in Harrisburg, IL the seventh son of John Weatherington, coal miner and Tessie Hogg Weatherington. He married Cynthia Wright June 15, 1974 in Moline and has been the owner and operator of Quality Upholstery in Moline spanning 3 decades. Larry was not your average man, he lived a rich full life. In a few words he was honorable, loyal, generous, steadfast, talented, hardworking, romantic, devilishly charming and ornery. He was a no BS man with a handshake of steel. His passion's in life included but were not limited to all types of music, The King, cards, dice, football, playing pool, fishing, boating and the summer sun. Good luck followed him. Larry placed great value on his family, touched many lives and will be missed by all. He was either your Huckleberry or not. Survivors include his wife Cindy; children Brian (Kandi) Weatherington and Anne (Mitchell) McClaflin; grandchildren Tessa and Caitlin; siblings Mervin McCord, Lloyd Weatherington, Gary Weatherington and Marilyn Gustaf. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Connor and brothers Albert, James, Lawrence and Leon Weatherington.
