Mabel VanCoillie

Mabel D. VanCoillie, 96, of Silvis passed away Friday - Sept. 27, 2013 at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg. Graveside services will be 10am Wed. Oct. 9, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Estates in Moline. Mabel was born March 5, 1917 in Drummond, TN the daughter of James T. and Margaret Looney Jones. She married Elmer Stevens in Aug. of 1938 followed by Floyd Call in Nov. of 1945. She later married Walter VanCoillie April 20, 1996. He preceded her in death July 11, 2008. Mabel worked for the City of Silvis as the Deputy City Clerk until her retirement in 1986. Survivors include her son Richard Stevens of Anaheim, CA; daughter Susan Edwards of Dayton, OH; step son Richard Call, Gary (Candace) VanCoillie, Larry (Debbie) VanCoillie; 5 grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter and 3 great grandchildren.
