Marilyn Cook

Marilyn K. Cook, 78, of Colona passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026 at her home.

Visitation will be 11-1pm Thursday with the funeral service starting at 1pm. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Estates in Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Marilyn was born March 12, 1948 in Findley, OH the daughter of Henry and Betty Dukett Bowen. She married Daniel Cook April 5, 1986. She worked at Cooper Tire in Ohio and Expac and Group O in Milan. After retirement, her favorite job was becoming a crossing guard with her friend Officer Mandy Welsh for Colona Grade School. Marilyn also sold Scentsy and enjoyed bowling, baseball, hockey and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and special friend Donna Kelley.

Survivors include her husband Daniel Cook; daughters Karen Kelley and Kristal Kelley; grandchildren Zachary (Tana Luckey) Quick, Kailey (Taylor) Wolters, Alexis Hamric, Greyson (Bailee Waddell) Durbin, Caleb Umandt, and Jacob Umandt; great grandchildren Melody, Jeremy, Hazel, Soraya, Luca, and Capri; sisters Nancy Pfouts and Dorothy (George) Sheldon; sisters in law Janet Sellers and Maria Bowen.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard, and brother in laws Ron and Neil.
