Marjorie Theis

Marjorie E. Theis, 100, of East Moline passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at her home. 

A memorial visitation will be 11-12:30pm with a prayer service at 12:30pm Monday, February 26^th at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Inurnment will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery. 

Marjorie was born January 20, 1924 in Moline, IL the daughter of James and Madeline (Meeder) Bell. She married Lawrence Theis June 29, 1944 in Moline, IL. He passed away April 14, 2006. Marjorie worked for Project now for the Head Start Program and at the meal sites. She was a very colorful person who enjoyed reading and was a good cook. 

Survivors include her daughters Joline Scott and Laura Theis; grandchildren Victoria Belknap, Rhonda McHenry, Tonya (Josh) King, Lawrence (Katie Nguyen) Scott II, and Sara (Kyle) Johnson; great grandchildren, Caylee King, Colton King, Remi Johnson, and Dagne Johnson. 

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Barbara McHenry, son Lawrence Jr., 1 brother and 1 sister.
