Marva Dick

Marva E. Dick, 82, of Silvis, died Monday, April 25, 2016, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church. Marva was born Sept. 25, 1933, in Little Sioux, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Hazel Butts Jones. She married Earvin Dick March 11, 1950, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He passed away Nov. 21, 2014. Marva was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara (Mike) Mason and Mary (Paul) Nelson; son, David (Karen) Dick; grandchildren, Dan, Shawn, Dawn, Scott and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Alea, Corianna, Caleb and Vincent; sister, Betty Roads; brothers, Glenn, Alvie and Lonnie McKeighan. Marva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Christine.
