Mayda C. Kouskie, 95, of Silvis passed away June 18, 2013 at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Quad City Animal Welfare Center.
Mayda was born March 15, 1918 in Peru, IL the daughter of Nicholas P. and Antonia Loibel Dreier. She married Martin Kouskie Nov. 16, 1940 in Clinton, IA. He passed away Oct. 12, 1979. Mayda was a member of the Silvis FOE and loved animals.
Survivors include her daughter Connie (Kent) Lundt; grandchildren Christina (Ricardo) Saldanha and David Lundt; nephew George (Jan) Wilken.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Peter Dreier and sister, Marie Wilken
