Michael C. Collier, 21, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, in Davenport.
Services are 1 p.m Monday at Greater Antioch Baptist Church, Rock Island, with visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be made to the family. Cremation rites will be given following service.
He was born May 13, 1989, in Moline, to Michael Collier and Bennita Boyd.
He was a member of Risen Christ Ministries. Michael was a fun loving person whose spirit brought happiness to everyone around him. He loved to shop, especially for his children. Hip-hop rap was his passion, and he loved a home-cooked meal.
Survivors include his parents, Michael Collier, Rock Island, and Bennita Boyd, Rock Island; maternal grandmother, Mary Cartwright, Rock Island; daughters, Canijah Collier, Peoria, Malaysia Collier, Rock Island; sons, Michael "Bud" Collier Jr., and an unborn baby boy who will be born in March; sisters, Mikita Collier, Erica Boyd, Mika Collier, MyKeadra Craig, and Taniya Craig, all of Rock Island; brothers, Mikial Collier, Florida, Ricky Childs, Erick Childs, and Keith Michael Collier, all of Rock Island; special friend, Jerri Jones. He was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Charles Colvin and Lillian Cunningham; maternal grandfather, Benny Boyd; maternal great-grandmother, Pauline Boyd; and two of his closet friends, Andrell Hearn and Miah Rush.
