Mildred Franks

Mildred "Louise" Taylor-Franks, 102, of Moline, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Good Samaritan, Geneseo. Funeral services will be noon Wednesday, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with visitation two hours prior to service time. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Louise was born May 22, 1912, in Des Moines County, Iowa, daughter of Arthur and Linnie Gillett Wilson. She married Irving Taylor on Dec. 24, 1936, in Milan. He passed away in 1980. She later married Harvey Franks in 1981 in Moline. He passed away in 1988. Louise retired from the Rock Island Arsenal after 30 years as a clerical clerk. Survivors include her son, David (Janet) Taylor, Silvis; grandchildren, Dione (Dean) Sheldon, Milan, and Nicole (Reuben) Martinez, Moline; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Debbie Mosenfelder. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands and her siblings.
