Mildred Rogers

Mildred "Millie" Rogers, 85, of Silvis, died on Nov. 14, 2013, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at White Chapel Cemetery, Canton, Ill. She was born on Aug. 27, 1928, in Mt. Vernon, Ill., to Willie and Opal Mathis Pitman. She married John Rogers, Aug. 8, 1948, in Pekin, Ill. John died Sept. 7, 2001. She owned and operated Millie's Bridal Shop for more than 20 years. Survivors include a special friend, Sue Rummery. She was preceded in death by two sisters; and three brothers.
