Monica L. Wells

Monica L. Wells, 61, of East Moline passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at her home. 

A celebration of life will be 1:00 – 3:00pm Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the Colona Community Center (617 8th Street). 

Monica was born January 31, 1963 in Moline, IL the daughter of Lena LaFerrara. She attended UTHS and enjoyed playing on the pool league for The Avenue Tap in Silvis. Monica was known for her beautiful red curls, her contagious laugh, and her love for dancing. She loved her daily phone calls and gossiping with her mom and watching the wildlife and storms. 

Survivors include her mother Lena Britt; children Katie Anderson and Jerica Wells; brother Timothy Britt; brother-in-law Bill Dunahoo, and nieces and nephews Tara Dunahoo (Josh Watters), Kristin Schatteman, Jaimee Haynie, and Cody Dunahoo.

Monica was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Evelyn LaFerrara, uncle Harry LaFerrara, sister Tyrena Dunahoo, and her beloved dog Binkie.
