Peggy A. Brand, 74, of Hillsdale, passed away Jan. 28, 2017, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Southern Baptist Church in Colona. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Peggy was born Dec. 18, 1942, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of Wesley and Alice Adams Mills. She graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High. Peggy married Louis Brand Feb. 19, 1962. She worked at Hillcrest Nursing Home for 13 years.
Survivors include her husband, Louis; children, Linda (Mark) Hubbard, Barstow, Louis Jr. (Cheryl) Brand, Green Rock, Wesley (Karen) Brand, Jacksonville, N.C., Brenda Brand, Green Rock, and Mark (Alicia) Brand, Green Rock; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren with two on the way; siblings, Janetta (Wesley) Moore, Jimmy (Carol) Mills and Kathy Whitney.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bobby and Gene; and sisters, Lou and Betty.
