Richard A. Berthoud

Richard A. Berthoud, 67, of East Moline passed away April 7, 2024 at his home. 

A memorial visitation will be 1-4pm Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

Richard was born April 3, 1957 in Moline, IL the son of William and Ruth (Mallas) Berthoud. He retired from John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline. Richard was a member of Who Else Club and A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren. He loved going to antique shops and public estate auctions and donating to various charities. 

Survivors include his children Tina Berthoud of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Billy Joe Berthoud of Peoria, Samantha (Timothy) Smith of Hillsdale, and Robert (Cassie) Berthoud of Hannibal, MO; grandchildren Lexas Berthoud, Abby Berthoud, Hunter Berthoud, Teagan Berthoud, Amelia Jacobsen, Arya Smith, Noah Myers, Hazel Berthoud, and Christopher Chaney; sister Mary Anne (Andre) Smith of Carbon Cliff; brother William (Pam) Berthoud Jr. of East Moline; several nieces and nephews; special nieces Tammy McAlonan, Shelly Ortiz, and April Hendrickson and best friend Captain Kirk.

 Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
