Robert Myres, 59, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at St. Francis Medical, Peoria, Ill.
Celebration of life will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Colona American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Schroder Mortuary in Colona is assisting the family.
Robert was born Nov. 26, 1951, in Moline, the son of Ivory Clarence and Martha L. Harrington Myres. He married Nancy Lofgren in 1988.
He retired from Case IH in East Moline where he repaired combines. Robert was an avid hunter, fisherman and a die hard Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed watching sports, gardening and spending time with his family especially the children.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Myres, Hampton; son, Patrick Lee Myres, Kirksville Mo.; twin sister, Roberta Myres (Jim) Holliday, Colona; brother, John Myres, Erie; grandsons, Jacob L. Myres and Justin L. Myres, Hampton; and great-grandson Bryson L. Myres, Hampton. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
