Robert E. "Bob" Rogers

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert E. Rogers, a beloved Husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Bob departed peacefully at his home on March 4^th, 2024.

Bob was born November 30^th, 1934, to Mary (Rosencrans) and Orvill Rogers in Little Rock Arkansans. After High School Bob began working at John Deere in Moline, IL, during which he volunteered for the Army and was stationed in Korea. 

Bob married the love of his life Patricia M. Paden on June 29^th, 1957, in Sparta, WI. After getting married they moved to Moline, IL, where they raised their six children. Bob and Pat loved to go camping and enjoyed square/line dancing together. In 1965 Bob and Pat moved their family to Colona, IL where he resided until 2020. After his time in the Army, Bob returned to work for John Deere as a tool & die maker, retiring in 1994.

Bob would tell jokes often, and those who knew him knew he loved to have a good time. He found joy in woodworking and made many custom pieces for his family and friends. Bob also loved working on vehicles, was a Boy Scout leader and spending time outdoors. 

Bob is survived by his girlfriend, Marlys Andrew; and children, John (Angie) Rogers, Sallyjo McCauley, Amy (Ron) Tepp; grandchildren Kristoffer Grimes, Rachel Passman-Rogers, Robin Passman-Rogers, Tyler (Samantha) Roesner, Michael (Samantha) Johnson, Matthew (Claudia) Roesner, Cody (Hope) Chaplin, John Paul Rogers, Megan (Joshua) Matezevich; and many great grandchildren. 

Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife Patricia, second wife Mary Lou; brother and sisters; His children Kelly Rogers, Robb Rogers, and Jim Rogers.

We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
