Ronald Harrington, 79, of Silvis, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
He was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Topeka, Kan., to Martha Leona Harrington. He married Bernice Schulz on Aug. 31, 1956, in Mandan, N.D. She died Aug. 1, 1984.
Ron served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a retired painter. He was a member of the Painters Union and enjoyed fishing and woodworking crafts.
Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Frye, Geneseo, Vonda Harrington, California, Cathy Harrington, Washington state, and Cindy Harrington, Annawan; son, Jamie Harrington, Geneseo; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, John Myers, Erie; sister, Roberta Holliday, Colona.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Schulz Harrington; daughter, Jewely Harrington; son, Kevin Harrington; brother, Robert Myers; and his mother.
