Ronald J. VanHoutte

Ronald J. VanHoutte, 65, of Colona passed away March 29, 2023 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Funeral services will be 12:00pm Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Schroder Mortuary, Colona with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to the Colona Fire Department.

Ronald was born January 12, 1958 in Moline, IL the son of Arthur and Mildred (Harris) VanHoutte. He served in the Marine Corps and was a jack of all trades. Ron worked for Best Upholstery in Colona and  enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, race cars, and scuba diving.

Survivors include his mother Mildred VanHoutte; siblings Rose (David) Chellos, Art (Cheryl) VanHoutte, Deb Browder, and Christine (Matt) Hughes.

Ron was preceded in death by his father.
