Rosalie Yates, 57, of East Moline, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at her home.
Services are noon Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with visitation two hours prior to service time. Burial is at Hampton Township Cemetery. A memorial fund will be established for her adopted grandchildren.
She was born July 18, 1954, in Moline, daughter of William and Ramona Hott Shaffer.
She was a CNA and worked at a local nursing home and later in homes in the area. She enjoyed collecting unicorns and M&M items.
Survivors include her siblings, Sue Mullins, Cocoa Beach, Fla., Ric (Lynn) Shaffer, Erie, and Deb (Jerry) Fisher, East Moline; special adopted grandchildren, Eddie and Conrad; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Heather; niece, Jenny; and a nephew, Jay.
