Sandra Farnsworth

Sandra Farnsworth, 78, of Colona passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to the Colona Fire Department. Sandra was born May 6, 1935, in Cincinnati, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Mattie Besse Walker. She married Robert Farnsworth Sept. 25, 1953, in Rock Island. Sandra enjoyed crafts, ceramics and garage sales. She especially loved watching her grandchildren play sports. Survivors include her husband, Robert; sons, Richard (Debbie) Farnsworth, Coal Valley, Kevin (Debbie) Farnsworth, Colona and Scott (Brenda) Farnsworth, Davenport; daughters, Michelle Burgess, Rock Island, and Kim (Gary) Trickey, Colona; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; grandsons Joshua and Jamie Waggoner; and great-grandson, Tyler Farnsworth.
