Scott Anthony Clark, 62, of Alajuela de Naranjo, Costa Rica, passed away February 23. 2026 at his home.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Rock Island Animal Control at www.qcpaws.org.
Scott was born February 22, 1964 in Moline, IL the son of William and Karen (Granet) Brookhart. He was adopted by Daryl and Karen Clark in 1980. He graduated from UTHS in 1983 and served in the Marine Corps Reserves. He attended Northeast Missouri State University and graduated from the University of South Alabama. Scott married Cecilia Dalton May 25, 1995 in Pensacola, FL. She preceded him in death November 29, 2025.
Scott was a nomad and a free spirit, moving around the country every few years and finally to Costa Rica. He never met a stranger and had very deep feelings for his family. He enjoyed hiking and traveling, especially near tropical beaches.
Survivors include his father Daryl Clark; brother David (Nicole Swarts) Clark of Bend, OR; uncle Anthony Granet; aunt Diane Granet and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Karen Clark and wife Cecilia.
