Sharon "Sherry" L. Coyle

Sharon “Sherry” L. Coyle, 82, of Silvis passed away Friday, September 25, 2026 at Avonlea Cottage in Milan.

Funeral services will be 2pm Friday, October 2, 2026 with visitation 2 hours prior to service time at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to Humility Homes and Services.

Sherry was born June 15, 1944 in Moline, IL the daughter of Toby and Dorothy Tyler. She married James Coyle December 27, 1996 in Moline, IL He passed away May 20, 2023. Sherry worked at Illini Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist, retiring from Genesis in 2002. She adored children and was a very doting grandmother. She taught Awana and assisted Illinois Council of the Blind. She also loved to travel, especially to Florida with her late husband. Sherry was a member of Legacy Baptist Church in Davenport and Crosstown Baptist Church in Silvis.

Survivors include her children Rusty (Tonya) Long, Jennifer (David) McCoy, and Erik (Sarah) Tillberg; 102 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. And a twin brother Bill (Jeanne) Tylor.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter and son in law Wendy (Steve) Petsel, and sisters Jackie O’Melia and Marge Rochau.
