Shirley M. Nyquist, 75, of Rock Island, passed away Dec. 8, 2017, at her home.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday with visitation one hour prior to service time at Mt. Sinai Christian Fellowship COGIC at 4706 NW Blvd., in Davenport. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements.
Shirley was born April 24, 1942, in Numa, Iowa, the daughter of Mettie and Osee Thacery Ruby. She married Dan Nyquist Oct. 25, 1983, in Bettendorf. He passed away Nov. 1, 2011. Shirley enjoyed crafting.
Survivors include her children, Eric, Barbara, Kelley, Maureen "Rennie," and Kathleen; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and a special brother-in-law, Dale Nyquist. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dan, son, Dallas, and a great-grandson, Jordan.
