Stephanie Smetana

Stephanie E. Smetana, 46, of Silvis, passed away May 23, 2014, surrounded by her family and friends. A memorial visitation will start at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Triangle Inn, 1650 1st Ave., Silvis. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at Rose Lawn Memorial Estates, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Stephanie was born Nov. 29, 1967, in Silvis, daughter of Harley Cox and Vivian Steinhaus. She married Edward Smetana. Stephanie loved her dogs, Lexi and Charlie. She also loved spending time with her friends and family. Survivors include her mother, Vivian Steinhaus; husband, Edward; children, Heather Smetana, Robert Smetana and Robby Bermes; siblings, Dianna Alisauskis, Shela Genz and Dennis Cox; aunt, Eula Whittaker; and many nieces and nephews. Stephanie was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, Richard Steinhaus.
