Tammy Sue Root, 58, of Colona, IL passed away in her home on December 10th, 2019.
Per Tammy’s wishes she will be cremated and have a private celebration of life burial at Greenview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to the family and sent to Schroder Mortuary. Tammy wanted to give back to the patients she had dialysis with so the money will be donated on her birthday to the social worker at the center to keep the other patients spirits up while they fight for their lives.
Tammy was born on January 3rd, 1961 in Moline, IL to Cleon and Nancy Hartshorn Feemster. She married Randy Root July 18th, 1981 in Colona. Her parents proceed her in death.
Tammy lived by the quote “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.” and that is what she did. She let her family know it was going to be ok by dancing one last time threw the rain. Know matter what Tammy went thew she always put her family first. She loved her grandkids and kids more than anything in the world. She was proud of them all. Tammy loved to go camping and take day trips with her husband. Tammy loved spending time with her sisters and all their shopping trips. She loved taking her grandkids on adventure days and making as many memories as possible. She also enjoyed sewing and making things for her family.
Survivors include her husband Randy; children Jason Root and Jessica (Michael) Beam; grandchildren Rodney, Rowdy, and Ruby Sue Beam; sisters Penny (Dale) Welch, Peggy (Mike) Murphy, Pam (Chuck) Friend, and Jodie (Rick) Underwood. Along with many nieces and nephews, and dear friend Lori.
