Teresa (Douglas) Thomas, 51, Colona, Died Monday, October 21, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. with services at 3 P.M. at the Colona Methodist Church, Colona, IL. Luncheon will be held after the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be determined. Teresa was born February 8, 1962 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Marie (Stottler) Douglas and the late Gerald Douglas of Colona, IL. Teresa was a registered nurse working in many nursing homes and hospitals in the Quad Cities and in Rockford, IL. She loved working with older adults and they loved her too. She is survived by her mother, Marie Douglas, Colona, Sister Lanette (Dave) VanDerHeyden, Rock Island, Brothers, Aaron (Shirley) Douglas, Colona, Carl (Collette) Douglas, Geneseo, and Harold (Tara) Douglas, Agawam, MA, several nieces, a great niece and great nephews. Schroder Mortuary, Colona is caring for the family.
