Thomas Whitney

Thomas K. Whitney, 70, of Silvis passed away March 5, 2021 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Per his wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Thomas was born September 23, 1950 in Moline, IL the son of Martin J. and Mona L. (Adlfinger) Whitney. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. Thomas married Sandra Standard January 14, 1984 in East Moline. He worked at Highland Park Bowl for over 40 years, was an avid bowler and also enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his wife Sandra; stepsons Darren and Danny Standard; step grandchildren Layla and Trinity and siblings Kirk (Karen) Whitney, Edward (Cathy) Whitney, and Kathy Collins.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
