Valerie F. Streitmatter

Valerie F. Streitmatter, 60, of East Moline passed away August 1, 2024 at Unity Point Rock Island. 

Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Schroder Mortuary with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will be at Hampton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. 

Valerie was born July 14, 1964 in Moline, IL the daughter of Harry and Sally Means. She married Scott Streitmatter January 22, 1983 in Moline, IL. Valerie worked at the ARC as a caregiver where she enjoyed caring for the handicapped and elderly. She also enjoyed stock car races, cooking, shopping, and loved her animals, especially Bear. 

Survivors include her husband Scott; children Scott (Patricia) Streitmatter II, Joshua (Stacey) Streitmatter, Jeffrey Streitmatter, Shane Streitmatter, and Leeann (Aaron) Kopp; grandchildren Gavin, Ronald, Shelby, Josh, Danny, Hope, Jayce, Brady, Ryder, Brooklynn, Alyce, Andi, Arik, Josh II, Thomas, Izabel, Noah, Violet, and Lukas. 

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
