Viola Yates

Viola Yates, 92, of East Moline passed away April 29, 2018 at her home.

Graveside services will be 11:30am Wednesday at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Vietnam Vets Local 299.

Viola was born Sept. 26, 1925 in Coia, KY the daughter of Robert and Dolly Lady. She married Cecil Yates Jan. 7, 1943 in Beaton, MO. He passed away April 4, 1999. Viola loved gardening, especially her roses and hostas.

Survivors include her son Larry (Gladys) Yates of East Moline; daughter in law Linda Yates; grandchildren Tom and Elizabeth and a sister Brenda Lady of Kentucky.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons, a granddaughter and several siblings.
