Wanda F. Lavine, 93, of Moline passed away July 20, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be 1pm Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation from 11 until service time. Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Wanda was born Nov. 23, 1923 in Wayne County, IL the daughter of Perry and Anna Bell Wise. She married Bert B. Lavine August 16, 1941 in Kahoka, MO. He passed away Feb. 25, 2005. Wanda worked for the Senior Citizen Center and Meals on Wheels and in her younger years she also worked at the licorice factory in Moline. She was an avid reader and enjoyed bird watching, playing various games and poker.
Survivors include her children Betty (Bob) Shearer, Gary Lavine, Bert Lavine Jr., Jeff (June) Lavine, Christine (Alan) Gillard, Tom (Sherri) Lavine and Alan Lavine; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and sisters Rosemary Hassel and Susan Bledsoe.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son James, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
