Clara Green

March 28, 1937 — March 12, 2022

Clara E. Green, 84, of Port Byron was called home to be with the lord March 12, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus after a battling a long-term illness for the last three years.

Per her wishes she will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be 11:00am April 30, 2022 at First Southern Baptist Church in Colona. Memorials may be made to the church. Schroder Mortuary, Colona is assisting the family with arrangements.

Clara was born March 28, 1937 in Craigsville, West Virginia the daughter of Grover and Viola (Russell) Reinhold. She graduated from Richwood Highschool, Richwood, WV and continued on to nursing school in Charleston, WV. She married George A. Green July 25, 1963 in Colona, IL. He passed away March 31, 2014.

Even though she will be sorely missed, we take great comfort in knowing that her suffering has ended, and she is now in heaven with family singing with the angels. Clara loved her family and always lit up with joy when her grandchildren came to visit. She also loved her flowers and would sit outside for hours.

Survivors include her children Pam Lenth, Randy Green, and Matt Green; grandchildren Ryan Park, Brandon Lenth, Breanna Lenth, Jennifer Pilguy, and Kelsie Green and great grandchildren Ayden Park, Aybrianna Park, Allie Park, and Nicolas Lenth.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 51 years, Alvin.
