Donna Cassidy

Donna M. Cassidy, 73, of Colona passed away August 27, 2021 at her home.

Funeral services will be 2pm Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery in Colona. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.

Donna was born March 26, 1948 in Kewanee, IL the daughter of Fred and Virginia Chesser Ensley. She married Larry Bystry December 30, 1971 in Galesburg, IL. She later married Bob Cassidy January 22, 1991 in Colona, IL. He passed away March 17, 1992. Donna worked as a CNA for in home health care, many nursing homes, and Henry County Health Department. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and dancing.

Survivors include her daughter Melissa Bystry; grandson Austin Bystry; granddaughter Shelby Bystry and a sister Darlene Rasmussen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brother Fred Ensley Jr. and sisters Shirley Drawyer and Frieda Ensley.
